Dubai Company Setup Costs: How to Compare a Complete Quote

The most useful price is the total for the business you actually plan to run. A licence-only promotion and a package with workspace and visas answer different questions. Use a consistent brief to compare them.

Start with one business brief

Write down your activity, shareholder count, customer location, workspace needs, and visa estimate before requesting prices. Send the same brief to each provider. If one quote assumes no visas and another includes two, the difference does not tell you which is better value.

For example, a solo consultant delivering remotely and a trading company needing storage should not use the same cost assumptions. Their operating requirements are different even when both are described as “company setup in Dubai”.

Separate the cost into five groups

  • Authority charges: registration, licence, name reservation, and applicable approvals.
  • Premises: workspace, lease, deposits, and any facility requirements.
  • People: establishment and immigration arrangements, visa processing, medical checks, and identity documents where applicable.
  • Professional services: formation support, document preparation, translation, and attestation as needed.
  • Ongoing administration: accounting, tax support, audits where required, and annual renewals.

Ask what “included” actually means

Request a written breakdown identifying which costs are fixed, estimated, optional, or payable to another party. Ask whether applicable VAT is included and whether refundable deposits are mixed into the headline price. An allocated visa slot should be distinguished from the cost of obtaining the visa itself.

Also ask when payments become non-refundable, what happens if an approval is delayed, and whether the service fee covers amendments after the application starts. Record the quote’s validity date.

Compare year two before choosing year one

Create a two-column budget: setup year and normal renewal year. Include workspace renewal and recurring support services in both where relevant. Then add a separate estimate for changes you anticipate, such as adding an activity, hiring staff, or moving to a larger office.

A low starting price can still fit your needs, but only if the activity and operational scope work. Do not pay for extra services simply because they appear in a larger package.

Your next step

Use the printable setup checklist to organise competing proposals. Compare the mainland route and free zone route against the same requirements, then request an itemised quote.
